The world needs innovators and problem solvers who turn challenges into greater opportunities. We have an insatiable curiosity about solutions to move people and goods safely and efficiently across the globe. From rail systems mobilising accessible transit, to ports linking land and sea – when it comes to connecting the people and places of tomorrow, the future of transport depends on us.
In your role as Principal Transport Planner, you will be responsible for providing consultancy services in the Transport Planning market in the NZ region (*successful candidates can work remotely across any location in New Zealand). With the support of the Section Leader of Transport Planning and the Technical Directors for Transport Planning, Traffic Engineering and Transport Modelling, you will be technical and project lead for transport planning and assessment projects, as well as providing technical guidance for transport planning advice on large strategic consulting and design projects and business cases.
The role will also be responsible for project delivery and project management, and for positioning and winning projects involving a range of services. You will be instrumental in collaborating with commercial, project management and technical leaders to create opportunities for Jacobs to plan, develop, deliver and operate a range of projects. The role will support management of the Transport Planning team, in terms of team development and growth, building technical capability and growing the transport planning portfolio.
