We are an agile team in a fast-moving group with plenty of growth opportunities. Our team focuses on building Teams app store and marketplace experiences for ITPros, Partners and System Integrators for Microsoft Teams.

These features are huge growth engines for our M365 commercial and enterprise customers and can set us apart from our competitors. The services we build must be highly scalable to meet the needs of an ever-growing user base and must be resilient and performant to ensure compliance. This is a unique opportunity to hone your system design skills and will give you exposure to innovative technology stacks (.NET Core, React, Service Fabric topology, Redis, Azure Cosmos DB) as well as cross-org collaboration opportunities. You will have E2E ownership and make a significant impact in this critical area.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a technical leader to help grow a team of smart, agile, and intellectually curious engineers who create and build things that customers love.  As an Engineering Manager you must have a proven track record of leading teams to build large scale distributed systems. We need someone who is detail-oriented, and obsessed with building a world-class user and developer experience. You will be partnering closely with product management and designers to drive features with an obsession towards customer experience and product growth.  

Qualifications

• BS or higher degree in Computer Science (or equivalent field)
• 4+ years managing high-performing software teams
• 8+ years of software engineering experience building frontend & server/service applications
• History of developing complex, large scale software in C#, Typescript, Javascript or equivalent languages
• Experience working with at least one modern JavaScript Framework (e.g. Angular, React, etc.)
• Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
• Track record of delivering products, features and functionality on time, at extremely high quality
• Self-driven, pro-active, results-oriented
• Deeply understands and ensures that product/business/user needs are met or exceeded
• Brings people together across teams to successfully collaborate on innovative solutions
• Easily deals with ambiguity, prioritizes, and make decisive decisions with great judgment
• Creates an inclusive and fun work environment where every employee engages effectively
• Cares deeply about growing people, is an excellent coach, and acts as a role model
