The M365 Enterprise and Cloud team is looking for a highly collaborative Principal Software Engineer to provide technical leadership and architect internal systems that enable Microsoft’s commitment to corporate responsibility and digital trust.

Responsibilities

This team will be building multiple internal services, a custom internal portal to provide audited integration points between multiple teams at Microsoft. These teams work together to deliver on part of Microsoft’s promise of delivering Digital Trust - Corporate Social Responsibility Report | Microsoft CSR

Core Responsibilities:

• Architect and design solution with the utmost focus on security and authentication
• Deliver delightful experiences to our customers – both our Office workload and legal team partners
• Be part of a Dev-Ops team that handles and remediates live-site issues
• Collaborate with partner teams to meet the engineering goals in a collaborative manner

Qualifications

Core Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related field).
• 10+ years of experience designing, building, and successfully releasing software services.
• Proficient in the use of React, .Net Framework and C#
• Proficient in delivering and interacting with REST API’s and Azure web services
• Experience with leveraging Azure blob storage, KeyVault and other resource types
• Able to learn complex authentication techniques such as using claims and multi-factor authentication
• High levels of personal integrity, honesty and responsibility 
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
• •  Microsoft Secure Screen: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check and credit history analysis upon hire/transfer and every year thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiar with privacy and legal obligations of corporate entities
• Experience in building highly secure systems and software
• Ability and eagerness to work across and partner with multiple engineering teams to achieve business goals
