Responsibilities
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about designing and building high quality reliable Cloud Services.  As a program manager in our team, you’ll be creating and enabling end-to-end (E2E) communication experiences to meet the growing needs of Microsoft first party and second party solutions. As a champion of the customer, you are expected to bring the customer voice into every conversation. In particular, you will identify core requirements, business-case, define and document E2E experience, partnering with your software engineer counterparts to participate in technical design, code and test planning with the aim to see the feature/scenario/product through to production. In this role, you will be responsible for prioritizing and managing large-scale scenarios, making design-trade-offs as needed – ultimately assuring the end-product meets and exceeds customer needs. You are adept at overcoming obstacles and resolving issues irrespective of team/org boundaries. As a leader on our team, you will be responsible for driving best practices and mentoring other program managers.
Key responsibilities
Ability to transact across business, technology and product experiences
Experience with customer-driven engineering, unpacking customer/developer needs, and designing APIs to meet customer/developer needs
Ability to develop product documentation, samples/demos, and customer/field readiness material for your areas of responsibility
Present and promote your area of expertise at trade shows, customer events, hackathons, and internal trainings
Translate ideas into reality by writing quality specifications and driving results throughout the entire product development lifecycle
Actively manages and maintains backlog, prioritization and drives meetings across multiple disciplines to assure product/features ship
Partner with marketing and business teams to identify target customers, value propositions, customer promises, and go-to-market strategies
Demonstrated success building strong relationships and delivering results in cross-group projects
Adept at navigating ambiguous problem-spaces and leading your team to successful product launches
Expertise and passion working with data
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in program management or product development in software companies
Bachelor and/or graduate degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related field
Experience with Software as a Service / Platform as a Service business models and development cycle
Strong written and oral communication skills
Experience working on real-time communication platform
Adapt at working in ambiguous problem spaces and articulating customer value to senior leadership
Azure or similar cloud experience is highly desirable but not a must.
