Join the Azure for Operator mobile packet core team focused on delivering 5G mobile packet core to operators on hybrid Azure cloud globally as a service. This team’s vision is a bold one, helping to enable the world’s largest and most innovative operators to leverage cloud and edge computing-based architectures to accelerate innovation and decrease operating costs.

This is a product management role requiring right candidate for delivering scalable 5G mobile packet core on Azure. This role requires to work closely and collaborate with early design partners and customers.

Success in the role will require a combination of telco industry experience, defining control plane feature and functionality for the product, has technical acumen, proven ability to develop strong partnerships both internally and externally – and of course a passion for working with customers.

The role requires a strong product management background comfortable in early product inception and definition, roadmap definition, requirements prioritization and supporting various sales enablement activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead v-teams whose purpose will be to take customer user scenarios and provide product clarity to engineering partner teams to develop detailed development/integration plans.
• A solid understanding of 5G 3GPP packet core control functionality and cloud management.
• Engage with customer leads and associated engineering teams to track and drive successful outcomes for the customer
• Establish close working partnerships with product managers and engineering teams to release new offerings based on detailed product plans
• Have proven experience delivering solutions using Edge and micro-service computing technologies such as Kubernetes, or expertise in Big Data and / AI based analytics

The ideal candidate would also have experience working inside cloud engineering teams such as Compute, Networking and Storage – with a proven knowledge of engineering processes supporting compliance, privacy and security.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of industry experience with 5 years of new product definition and product delivery experience working with cloud engineering teams such as Azure, AWS or GCP
• A minimum of 5 years of product experience in mobile packet core and cloud networking
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A BSc or MS degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience (MBA is a plus)
