We are looking for a Principal Program Manager who is passionate about the intersection of customers, data, and new business opportunities. We have a high-impact role to help lead a Microsoft strategic project to align data collection, use, management, and governance to build customer trust, protect customer privacy by design, and responsibly collect and use data.

In a world of ever-increasing regulatory scrutiny, you will help define and usher in the next generation of aligned, compliant data collection and use. Starting with Experiences + Devices (E+D) – which includes Windows, Office, M365 Services, Edge, and many more products and services – and expanding across Microsoft, this project has the potential to impact every product and service which collects and uses customer data.

You will be joining the W+D Connected Services and Experiences (CSX) Data team which is a high-performing team that has the mission to raise Microsoft customer and ecosystem success by providing trusted data science, engineering expertise, and systems at scale.

Responsibilities

• Identify and drive alignment of top cross-E+D opportunities areas such as common data taxonomy; separation of user, functional, and diagnostic data; common schema; and more.
• Drive research and (internal) partner engagement across Microsoft to identify new customer and business value leveraging collected data; and use your findings to drive requirements back to the core project.
• Manage project communications with internal partner teams and stakeholders, and with corporate communications and public relations.
• Focus on commercial, enterprise, and IT Administrator opportunities and experiences related to managed consent, control, and governance.
• Work with Privacy Program Owners (PPOs) to sync investments in privacy related operational systems
• Develop inter-divisional partnerships to drive alignment of core project elements (consent, governance, data sharing)

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

• 10+ years of Program / Product management experience designing and shipping customer-facing products and services

Preferred qualifications:

• Strong customer empathy and passion for building trust relationships with customers
• Proven ability to build successful partnerships and drive complex cross-group collaboration
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; including experience with presentations to senior leadership teams
• Strong problem solving and project management skills
• Knowledge of privacy-related regulatory environment is preferred
