This role requires a self-motivated individual, comfortable operating in a fast-paced and highly technical environment. The successful candidate will have a passion for technology and want to be involved in the early days of hardware innovations that span our cloud, edge, and client platforms. Responsibilities

You will:

  • Work closely with the TA on product divisions and partner engagements, identifying joint efforts aligned with Microsoft’s strategic silicon and hardware ambitions.

  • Apply excellent project and program management techniques to drive clarity and accountability for large, complex collaboration efforts across multiple teams.
  • Evaluate and communicate the health and progress of our partnerships.
  • Find ground truth: do independent research (competitive, market analysis, analyst reports) and use knowledge to solve for Microsoft’s global maximum.
  • Establish incubation efforts that demonstrate the promise of new hardware, product categories and business models.

We are looking for passionate people who are:

  • Are eager to work hard and have a great time working on future-changing technology in the silicon and hardware space.
  • Have proven experience with customers and partners, and who feel excited when a partner is happy.
  • Are passionate about technology and are constantly seeking to learn.
  • Have a proven track record of coordinating the execution and timely delivery of projects.
  • Have shown to be an excellent liaison between teams, identifying and leveraging collaboration opportunities

Qualifications

Required:

  • Knowledge of hardware systems, architectures, and system development in cloud, edge, and client scenarios.
  • Solid understanding of AI training and inference from a hardware perspective.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or related field
  • 8 years of experience in Product/Project/Program Manager or Engineering role

Preferred:

  • Demonstrated success managing strategic partnerships, including defining and marshalling large-scale collaborative projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Understanding of performance analysis as well financial aspects of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
  • Experience working on early-stage projects.
