We are a new team in the Azure Core CTO Office, that is working on network acceleration to significantly improve the performance and reliability of network virtualization for cloud applications.

Responsibilities

As a member of our team, you will be innovating and extending cutting-edge cloud hardware and software technologies across network infrastructure to support Azure’s resource disaggregation initiatives. We are seeking candidates who can span the stack from hardware to systems to applications, are passionate about prototyping, evaluating disruptive technologies leveraging their prior experience with large scale highly available distributed systems. You will have the opportunity to collaborate across multiple teams spanning the end-to-end stack, to deliver significant business impact for Azure. Together with our broader team of world-class engineers, you will be working alongside experienced Distinguished Engineers and Technical Fellows on solving tough engineering problems in a fun, flexible, and growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in network engineering and product development with experience in cloud security 

Preferred Qualifications:

• S, M.S, or Ph.D in Computer Science or relevant experience experience
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, NFV, Routing, and BGP
• Familiarity with SmartNICs, Switching and network disaggregation preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills with a strong desire to work in a highly collaborative environment.
• Demonstrated end-to-end accountability with experience operating highly available customer facing production infrastructure.
• 3+ years’ experience delivering complex projects with multiple workstreams spanning different business and technical disciplines.
