Our team is part of Azure Core, within Azure Management and Platform. We call ourselves the Lighthouse Extensibility Ecosystem team and we work in collaboration with software engineers, technical PM crews, various sibling product groups, product marketing and global partner solutions team in building new products and enabling partner ecosystems at the platform. Responsibilities
The PM manager will wear all hats of a product manager exploring insights, distilling hypotheses, and driving product outcomes with her/his team, as well as partners in software engineering, design, documentation and beyond. The individual will engage ecosystem of users and non-users for insights and advanced signals to shape the vision while delivering on fundamentals and quality expectations for semester plans. As a people manager, the individual will coach the team to function effectively, to care for customers/partners and each other. Delivering on known needs as well as defining the next wave of innovation will be a key success factor for this role. As all great product manager are, this role will also model as a spokesperson for new capabilities, engaging wide range or audiences with demos, presentations, blogs and beyond.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
6+ years of Program Management, Product Management, Technical Program Management, Software Engineering, Architecture, Cloud Solution Architecture, Consulting, Customer Software Engineering, Field Engineering, Technology Specialist or similar experiences
BA/BS degree in computer science, information technology, business, engineering, and/or related disciplines, or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in people management
Experience in defining, architecting, and shipping enterprise software and/or services
Experience in product management frameworks, decision & prioritization models
Experience in customer, compete and market research methods and techniques
Skills in cross-boundary collaboration across disciplines and dependent product/platform components
Experience in driving towards results with and through others
Experience in partnering with business, finance and marketing functions
Enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs and/or app development patterns
Advanced knowledge and experiences with Azure and/or other public/private cloud platforms
Avid learner, who enjoys researching new techniques and best practices, as well as teaching others
Customer obsession coupled with strong problem-solving skills
Experienced in advocating for customer and partner success
Effective presentation skills and experience with engaging audiences of architects, IT Professionals, and developers, internal and external stakeholders
Effective in rapidly evolving environments and working across organizational boundaries
Self-starter, skilled-listener, strong collaborator, strong writing skills
Advanced degrees (MBA, MS or PhD)
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check. This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
