We are looking for an entrepreneurial and technical Product/Program Manager Leader to drive and deliver our product and platform roadmap for SMBs. You will have the opportunity to own and drive the vision, strategy, and product roadmap for SMB facing features and platform capabilities that help SMBs grow and operate their business with Teams. This role has responsibility for the customer experience, developer experience and business model to support these new features and capabilities. You will engage with customers and partners to understand their requirements and invent on their behalf to deliver customer delight and business value.
The ideal candidate for this role is comfortable dealing with the ambiguity of building new features, has a strong technical mindset to work both with internal development teams and with external developers, is data driven with excellent analytical skills, and has strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate efforts across a large group of stakeholders across Microsoft product lines. This is both a product and a people leadership role. You will lead a small but highly capable, motivated, and diverse team of product managers in delivering features and solutions for SMBs.
Responsibilities
Define the product strategy and vision informed by detailed customer and partner research as well as data driven analysis.
Develop high quality and simple product roadmaps based on strategy and vision.
Generate detailed, crisp business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
Envision and design experiences that delight customers.
Manage prioritization and trade-offs between customer experience, performance, and operational support load.
Work closely with engineering teams to deliver products to market.
Run and manage project delivery rhythm in an agile environment; manage deliverables, schedules and unblock issues. Communicate identified risks in advance and drive mitigation plans.
Drive product launches, user growth and engagement by working with cross-functional teams including marketing, public relations, and field sales.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in product or program management delivering end-user or developer facing products and services.
Demonstrated experience across the entire product lifecycle – from user research and competitive analysis, to ideation, specification, architecture, and launch.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.
Excellent customer empathy with experience in user-centered design; demonstrated success in creating innovative and user-friendly software applications and customer-facing features.
Technical fluency with solid understanding of web and mobile technologies; ability to understand and discuss architectural concepts, tradeoffs, and new opportunities with technical team members.
Excellent business acumen, with the ability to think strategically and to solve complex and ambiguous problems with a structured and methodical approach.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills across multiple levels of the organization and to both technical and non-technical audiences.
High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
Strong project management, leadership, dependency management and cross-group collaboration skills with a track record of managing complex projects with many partners in an agile environment.  
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Business, Economics, or equivalent quantitative field required.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or Master’s degree.
5+ years of experience working on internet scale B2B SaaS or UCaaS products in a high growth environment.
3+ years of experience engaging directly with developers, independent software vendors and/or other ecosystem partners to build and successfully launch products.
