Ko tā mātou mahi - Our role

As Principal Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor, you will advise and assist in the development and implementation of the monitoring and evaluation framework for Te Rautaki Māori - the Māori Strategy for Kāinga Ora, which will be integral to measuring success in supporting Māori housing and urban development aspirations.

You will lead the monitoring and evaluation, including analyses of data and the writing of thematic and evidence-based reports.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu - What you will bring

You will bring the following:

  • You'll have a sound knowledge and application of Kaupapa Māori methodologies and principles, including Wai 262 considerations and hapÅ«/iwi data sovereignty aspirations
  • You'll be adept at partnering and communicating with a varied audience, including iwi/rōpÅ« Māori and internal/external stakeholders
  • You'll have a sound knowledge and understanding of monitoring frameworks and evaluation principles, and measurements to ensure successful outcomes, coupled with the ability to see and tell the story behind the data
  • Naturally, you'll demonstrate tikanga Māori, and have an inherent understanding of the implications of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and its respective interpretations by iwi/hapÅ«. Te Reo Māori proficiency is highly advantageous
  • A Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Law, Māori Studies, Information Management or similar is desirable
