The opportunity will allow you to make a broad positive impact across many critical domains of one of the most mission-critical services in the world - such as large-scale interactive data analytics, highly scalable map-reduce compute, machine learning platform, service and data engineering, security, compliance, and service management.  

Responsibilities

• Driving the strategy, vision, and execution for the team in collaboration with engineering, design and program management leaders 
• Building strong partnerships with other global teams within Microsoft 365 
• Work with senior leaders and other team members to shape technical strategy and architecture investments. 
• Lead a team of highly motivated managers and ICs 
• Create a flexible and an inclusive environment that attracts & retains high-performing engineers. 

• Coaching and mentoring team leaders and engineers within the team 
• Drive and deliver innovation to make an impact at massive scale 

Qualifications

• BS degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent degree 

• 15 + years of software development experience with C, C++ or Java 
• Proven track record as a strong and effective engineering leader - managing and growing successful teams 
• Strong customer focus and passion for doing the right thing for the customer 
• Proven ability to establish trusted, effective relationships across diverse sets of stakeholders 
• Excellent communication skills and cross group collaboration 

• Ability to quickly pick up existing concepts and employ new techniques and strong problem solving
