Key Attributes you can demonstrate:
Have work experience as a Civil/Structural Engineer, undertaking or reviewing the designs of Reinforced Concrete (RC) and/or steelwork structures in accordance with Eurocodes.
Be chartered or working towards becoming chartered.
We would love you to also have any of the following:
• Experience of working on major complex projects within a highly regulated industry
• Direct nuclear experience
• Experience of seismic analysis and design, as well as some US codes
• Great communication skills, comfortable managing several stakeholders and working in a muti-cultural environment
• Be pro-active and solution orientated, having effective time management and planning skills
• Have an understanding of site-based operations and construction
• Experience of finite Element Analysis
• Experience of Construction Design Management (CDM) 2015
• Experience with working with regulatory bodies
About us and the role
We are looking for Civil/Structural Engineers to join our nuclear energy business working as part of the Civil Engineering Branch supporting the design and delivery of nuclear classified structures on HPC and SZC projects. Nominally based in Gloucester but with hybrid working arrangements in place allowing working from home, HPC Site, as well as our London and Bristol offices. There may also be some occasional travel to France. The role holder will be responsible for managing and leading review & acceptance activities for a given scope on behalf of the Client Licensee, to ensure requirements are met and nuclear safety is underpinned. The role holder will be able to draw on the wider support provided by the team. This is an exciting time to join the team as the HPC Project continues to deliver civil designs and construction, and as the design of Sizewell C starts to ramp up, helping Britain achieve #CarbonNetZero.
