About the Role

As Principal Advisor in the Office for Seniors you will use your extensive relationship management, engagement and negotiation experience to lead the development of a programme of work that will give effect to actions in the Better Later Life Action Plan.  You will contribute to older people communities working together to identify and address their priorities for addressing the abuse of older people.

You will support the Director of the Office, engaging in high-level consultations and providing insightful expert advice on issues facing seniors.
 

About You

To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:

• Ability to identify linkages and opportunities across government and community  programmes and initiatives and leverage those opportunities to deliver results.
• Track record in enlisting others' support and assistance in influencing others and in building agreement, cooperation, networks and a unified sense of purpose.  
• Proven analytical skills and knowledge of the policy process and public sector management practices.
• Track record in planning and successfully delivering projects and work on time and to a high standard.
