About the role
The Electricity Authority is an independent Crown entity that regulates the electricity market. We are the kaitiaki of electricity. Our purpose is to enhance New Zealander's lives, prosperity and environment through electricity.
We are looking for a Principal Advisor or a high performing senior to take the next step in their career joining the Electricity Authority's Monitoring team. You will be joining a well-established team who are looking to increase capability in this area so there will be the opportunity for growth and development in this role.
As a seasoned professional, the focus of your role will be supporting the Manager - Monitoring in leading and mentoring the Monitoring team, providing specialist advice on key market issues to the Authority and lead various projects including compliance investigations, regulatory development and outreach to consumers.

You will have the following:
Excellent quantitative skills and experience in applying these skills to answer different research questions
Experience in leading complex research projects
A willingness to look across a set of evidence and to make a judgement based on this evidence
A desire to share your expertise with others through coaching and mentoring
