We have an exciting opportunity for you to make your mark in shaping how ManatÅ« ahu Matua MPI builds and maintain a positive and inclusive workplace.   You will bring thought leadership, design expertise and implementation management to develop and embed strategies and initiatives focused on building and maintaining a positive and safe workplace.  This encompasses a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion, flexible working and behaviour related initiatives.  

The role will provide opportunity and scope to work in a collaborative way with other Principal Advisers and key people across the People and Capability function to embed positive and safe workplace culture principles throughout all MPI people and workplace related programmes.

This is a people leadership role with responsibility for an Adviser and Co-ordinator who support the work of the full Organisational Development team.    

Mōu - About You

You will have organisational development experience in a large and/or complex organisation in several of these areas:

• diversity and inclusion
• organisational culture, team development and performance management
• flexible working strategies and initiatives
• leadership development and talent management
• experience of working, and awareness of priorities, in the NZ public service
• up-to-date knowledge of research and trends in organisational development
• experience of working to support public service organisations to meet their obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi

You will also have experience in coaching and mentoring others and ideally experience in directly managing an individual or team.
