Are you looking for a career which is rewarding, at the cutting edge of project development and where you can really make a difference? Come and join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the most exciting projects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy. Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a ~£20bn nuclear new build project in Suffolk which has just obtained planning approval and is seeking financing from HMG and investors, with a view to start construction in 2023. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Pressure Compliance Lead to join our Quality team within the SZC project delivery organisation, which is responsible for the management of the end-to-end delivery of the plant, ensuring scope is delivered safely, to quality, on time and within cost.
Our teams are set up to work flexibly. If you’re able to travel to the office to collaborate with your team and stakeholders when required, you can be based anywhere in the UK. We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively.
You’ll build and lead a team of Pressure Compliance Engineers in ensuring plant compliance for pressure systems’ structural integrity, conformity assessment and safety, in order to meet the needs of the project including regulatory codes and standards.
Working with manufacturing inspection teams, the site surveillance teams, commercial Supply Chain and with the Document Control and Records team, you’ll ensure that a coordinated and collaborative pressure compliance delivery strategy is applied.
You’ll have significant experience in delivering major projects, preferably in the nuclear power sector, with significant focus on pressure compliance and structural integrity, and with a specific mechanical engineering discipline expert knowledge.
Experience in leading a team of technical/engineering professionals with the ability to motivate and manage their performance would be highly desirable.
Ideally, you’ll have knowledge & understanding of nuclear site license conditions or nuclear industry experience.
If the above sounds like you then we’d love to hear from you!
