We're looking for a creative and versatile Presenter to join our team at BBC Radio Jersey. You'll have the skills and personality to be able to reflect life in the island in a fun and engaging way with music and entertainment. You’ll be hosting our Saturday Breakfast Show 6-10am
Even if we say so ourselves, Jersey has got to be one of the best places to live and work. You're never more than ten minutes from the sea and we have some of the best beaches in the British Isles. Jersey isn't part of the UK or the EU – it's a self-governing Crown Dependency.
Our programmes combine a mix of news, conversation, music and entertainment and you'll need to weave them all together seamlessly. We are building a team that is creative and innovative with tonnes of personality so you’ll need to be a team player who is capable of taking on air instruction and direction. You will produce and present the programme, coming up with creative ideas, original stories and features. You'll also proactively work with colleagues in TV and digital to ensure we're sharing our content with the biggest possible audience in the most effective way.
You'll be willing to engross yourself in island life and get across the issues that matter to lslanders. You'll also be a good people person and know how to get the best from contributors and callers on air. You will have excellent editorial judgement and decision making as well as a creative mindset. You will be an experienced journalist and have demonstrable experience of creating original story ideas. You’ll want to be part of a working environment where we celebrate trying to do things differently, where we innovate and where we have FUN!
