An Auckland based contractor is reorganising its structure and has identified the need to add a Pre-Construction Project Manager to the business. As a business, they pride themselves on shaping a down to earth professional team culture with a complete solution driven client ethic. Training and development are key to their business and retention of its people. They have a host of new projects ranging from new builds, large remediation projects, schools, warehouses/factories, commercial offices, refits, as well aged care. Most of their projects are between $3M - $40M in value.

This role features highly in the pre-construction phase and would suit a project manager with a passion for programming, developing methodologies, preparing safety plans, environment plans and using construction software technology. You will then be taking the project from pre-construction to successful delivery.

The objective is to ensure quality programmes are produced aligning with procurement, shop drawings, design, sub-contractors, and project completion.

As a background, you have 15 + years’ experience in commercial construction managing complex projects using a range of technologies and have acquired a passion for pre-construction and the programming side of project management. You are keen to encourage best practice and support the business with your contractual knowledge, depth of know-how with developing methodologies and documentation and templates for projects planning. You enjoy contributing this value for the efficiency of construction planning and programming.

As expected, you have strong communication and people skills and have an impressive local projects history on your CV.

Competitive remuneration: $130K - $150K + vehicle.
