About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, digitally savvy PR and Social Executive to join TalkTalk’s PR team.
You will be responsible for helping to protect and enhance TalkTalk’s reputation by delivering compelling PR activations to promote our products, services and innovations. Responding to reactive PR opportunities, crafting meaningful messaging, and correcting inaccuracies is also a key part of this role.
From a social perspective you will deliver creative influencer campaigns to raise the profile of TalkTalk with its key audiences. You will also be instrumental in executing the employer brand social strategy and help to launch a new ‘Life At TalkTalk’ style Instagram channel. You will also run that channel day to day after launch.
Responsibilities:
Supporting the Senior PR Manager to deliver national, trade and regional PR campaigns/news jacking opportunities to consumer and business media
Writing and editing communications materials ranging from interview briefs to press releases announcing a new product, as well as reactive statements on behalf of internal spokespeople and social copy
Managing the ‘Life At TalkTalk’ style Instagram channel – creating content and channel management to increase following and engagement rates.
You will also help create content for other social platforms too
Engaging with our social audiences and jumping on relevant social trends in a confident, down to earth and humorous tone of voice
Work alongside the communications, marketing, commercial, product and customer services teams to collaborate on messaging
For example, to launch a new product/service or to communicate positive brand news
Maintaining a strong knowledge of the news agenda, trends and social landscape
Helping to secure positive reviews in trade titles and awards for the TalkTalk brand
Managing the PR and social content calendars and ensuring they’re kept up to date
Uploading media materials to the press hub and content to social media
Skills and requirements:
Experience working in PR and Social
Excellent attention to detail Strong copywriting and grammar skills Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
Solid knowledge of various social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn
Experience creating and running social activity, including influencer campaigns Agency management experience
