Job Description

Te Pare ō Toi (TPOT) is looking for a Poutuitui to provide executive support to the Manukura (Executive Director) and to work collectively with the Te Pare ō Toi leaders and wider system partners to progress our strategic imperatives towards Toi Ora.

What you can expect day-to-day:

If you have a proven record of providing an exceptional standard of support at an executive level and are driven to contribute to the values of Hauora ā Toi this role is for you. The role reports to the Manukura (Executive Director of Māori Health Services) and will assist in coordinating the Manukura and the Senior Leadership team's strategic operations.

The role will be responsible for:

  • Acting as the point of contact between the Manukura and internal/ external business partners
  • Screening and manage emails, meetings requests and phone calls
  • Delegating service requests and operational correspondence to the wider leadership team as appropriate
  • Making travel arrangements
  • Co-ordinating operational and leadership team meetings and take minutes
  • Co-ordinating regionally across both Tauranga and Whakatāne sites as requested by the Manukura
  • Providing secretarial support to the Māori Health RÅ«nanga governance group
  • Supporting the implementation of TPOT models of care
  • Championing and supporting Toi Ora knowledge and competence within the workforce.

We are looking for:

  • An executive/ personal assistant with 3+ years' experience in similar support roles
  • An organised and business savvy individual capable of working within and team and autonomously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a commitment to te reo me ona tikanga.  Support will be provided for continued learning and application.  We want to be a Te Reo speaking team.
  • Experience with office management systems and proficient in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
  • Driven to apply Te Aō Māori views, concepts, knowledge and practices in your work tasks.
  • Experience working in the health sector or with iwi boards desired but not essential.
  • Demonstrates, exudes and embeds behaviours consistent with He Pou Oranga Tāngata Whenua and the BOPDHB Manaakitanga values.
