The Microsoft Stores team is hiring a Policy and Compliance Manager to develop and execute processes and programs that support our strategic and business priorities, ensure great customer and developer experiences, and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements governing the Microsoft Store’s digital marketplace operations. In this role, you'll drive programs and processes and establish best practices that allow the Microsoft Store to thrive. You will partner closely with our legal, privacy, business, engineering, and operations teams to drive end to end solutions that achieve desired outcomes.

If you are passionate about solving complex problems at the intersection of business and technology, this is the role for you. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player with policy and process development experience, and who possesses strong program management, cross-functional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

What our team offers:

At the core, we are a customer-focused team that actively encourages a diverse and inclusive culture. We are respectful, collaborative, accountable; and approach work with a fun, positive attitude. The right candidate can expect to have opportunities for career growth and development while driving significant impact and influence across a broad group of stakeholders and partner teams.

What I will do for you:

  • Empower you with the opportunity to gain new experiences and improve upon your strengths.
  • Support who you are as your authentic self.
  • Make your continuous learning and career development a consistent priority.
  • Champion your successes at every level of our leadership.

How you could make an impact:

  • Assess, propose, and implement innovative ideas to evolve the Microsoft Store policy and compliance programs.
  • Deliver excellence in execution and process improvement.
  • Build strong relationships across diverse set of organizations as you achieve outcomes, establish best practices and deliver results against success criteria.
  • Develop your ability to be a thought leader in an evolving and critical area of the business.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Aid in management of policy workstream-related activities and execute programs and processes to achieve effective policy outcomes.
  • Maintain policy and process documentation, including identifying any gaps and conducting process improvement initiatives.
  • Help lead cross functional teams to review, update and evolve our core store policies.
  • Ensure all applicable compliance standards are consistently met.
  • Streamline process and communications related to policy updates or changes.
  • Provide regular policy communications and internal reporting to help drive cross-functional awareness and alignment.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience managing digital apps or game store businesses, or ecommerce business more broadly.
  • 3+ years of program management, business operations, or other related and relevant experience.
  • 3+ Year of experience working with commerce, business, data and privacy policies, with demonstrated understanding of the changing regulatory and policy landscape.
  • Demonstrated experience in business model development and evolution of internal business teams and/or external partners.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Executive presence and business maturity suitable to engaging with key senior stakeholders across the organization.
  • Experience in program management, process development, and improvement with a focus on supporting policy development and outcomes.
