HUD's MÄori Housing Unit – Te KÄhui MÄori Housing– leads HUD's focus to boost housing and urban development outcomes for MÄori, working closely with Te Puni KÅkiri and KÄinga Ora - Homes and Communities. Te KÄhui is also engaging whÄnau, hapÅ«, iwi and MÄori and with key stakeholders to support those who seek to progress developments and realise their aspirations with housing and urban development. It is an exciting time to be working in MÄori housing. Te KÄhuiMÄori Housing has recently launched a thirty year Strategy for MÄori Housing – MAIHI Ka Ora, and the Waitangi Tribunal Kaupapa Inquiry into Housing Policy and Services (WAI 2750) is also underway.
This role is for one year fixed-term.
As Policy Advisor you will support the overall capability of the team through gathering evidence, analysing policy issues, developing policy options and preparing policy advice for defined policy issues.
To be successful in this role you will build and maintain strong working relationships and contribute to larger, more complex projects where others have the accountability for the delivery of outputs.
