The Opportunity
We're currently seeking an experienced Principal Manager for our Network Services Coordination Centre (NSCC) to lead the overall management in the 'day of' operations.
This purpose of this role is to ensure safe, secure, clean, reliable, and efficient train and coach operations by overseeing operations coordination, monitoring, and supporting a safe, reliable, and efficient train and coach operation.
You will be the primary point of contact for the 'day of' operations between all network infrastructure managers and suppliers ensuring relevant relationships are effectively managed. In addition, you will:
Work with key stakeholders to ensure the smooth functioning and operation of the NSCC
Effectively lead the performance and development of your team
Drive the development of consistent and well-defined process and procedure documents to cover all aspects of the NSCC role and its interface with internal and external stakeholders
You will also Identify and develop strategies, plans and systems to coordinate and monitor rail and coach services within specific areas
Examine running performance and develop ongoing strategies to coordinate with internal divisions and external providers to improve on time running and to reduce incidents over time
About You
You're an inspiring and engaging leader with demonstrated experience in change management, model positive, performance-based culture and a continuous improvement mind-set that is customer and performance focused, engaging with open and concise communication.
You have demonstrated understanding of rail operations, incident management and a proven ability to drive a customer orientated approach to provision of customer information and train operations.
