The Company

Our Halton client is an established manufacturing company with global operations. Due to unprecedented growth in Canada, they are adding a Plant Controller to the team. Please note that this role is 100% onsite.

 The Role

The Plant Controller reports to the Director of Finance and manages a team of 3 staff. The Plant Controller will manage full-cycle accounting, the month-end close process, ensure government remittances are paid in a timely manner, manage inventory and set standard costs for the plant. The Plant Controller will work closely with Operations and Plant staff to maximize profitability and efficiency of the plant. 

About You

You are a designated CPA with 3+ years of experience in a Controller position with a manufacturing company. You are a strong communicator who builds meaningful relationships with your staff and colleagues across the organization. 

Requirements

What do you bring to the role?

• CPA designation
• 5+ years of work experience, including 3+ years as a Controller in a manufacturing environment
• Experience managing a small team
• Full cycle accounting experience including managing the month-end close
• Inventory management
• Standard costing
• Government remittances including taxes
• Experience with ERP systems
• Advanced Excel skills
