Blakelands Hospital is a freestanding day case (ambulatory surgery) hospital. We are part of the internationally renowned Ramsay Health Care Group who believe in the value of day case surgery. As well as two operating theatres, we have an outpatient, x-ray and physio department focussing on ophthalmic, orthopaedic, Gastroenterology, Breast and general surgery. We are located centrally in Milton Keynes, easily accessible to Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire with free parking on site. There is a direct train link to London. As a day surgery, we offer family friendly hours with no night duty

The Role:

In this role you will be an integral part of a team who are committed to delivering the highest quality clinical outcomes in a supported environment, where you will be valued for your skills and expertise. You will provide routine clinical and non-clinical support alongside experienced physiotherapists.

You must be an enthusiastic, motivated and energetic individual with excellent customer care skills. You must be able to remain calm and empathetic when dealing with the very varied caseload of patients that attend the Physiotherapy department.
 

You will be required to assist the qualified Physiotherapists with mobilising and delivering exercise programmes to our orthopaedic inpatients. You may also be required to assist the Physios in delivering class based exercise programmes to patients.  As well as your clinical duties you will be expected to assist with the cleaning of equipment and help with audits and stocktaking.  Whilst primarily a clinical role there will be some administrative duties i.e. typing and producing patient information, filing and posting charges, therefore good IT skills are essential.  You should be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and excel and experience of an electronic patient records system would be advantageous.
