• Permanent part-time opportunity (0.6FTE/24hr per week) based at our Burwood Hospital campus
• Provide comprehensive assessment, evaluations and treatments within our Older Person's Health and Rehabilitation Inpatient Team
• Registration with the NZ Physiotherapy Board and current APC is essential
• Hours of work can be negotiated but will be between Monday - Friday

Our team at Burwood Hospital is looking for a NZ registered Physiotherapist to join our team of enthusiastic, energetic and dedicated multidisciplinary professionals!

This is a permanent opportunity working 24hrs per week in our Older Person's Health and Rehabilitation Inpatient ward. Hours are between Monday and Friday

The Role: Where you fit in3

• Carrying out effective patient assessment, evaluation and treatments in accordance with policies, procedures and standards of practice;
• Ensuring appropriate documentation and patient records are updated and maintained;
• Liaising with all appropriate health professionals and other agencies to ensure we achieve the best outcomes for our patients;
• Formulating treatment interventions to meet individual needs in collaboration with the wider multi-disciplinary team;
• Appropriate delegation to our therapy assistants;
• Providing education for the families/whanau and carers of our patients as necessary.

Your skills will include:

• Excellent time management and communication skills with the ability to work independently;
• The ability to develop a close working relationship with physiotherapy assistants and the wider physiotherapy team;
• Proven experience as a Registered Physiotherapist with the NZ Physiotherapy Board, and a current annual practicing certificate;
• Experience within older person's health is advantageous.
