1 ‑ Full Time ‑ Physics Associate (Dos)
Medical Physics
The Treatment Planner provides patient treatment planning services for the Radiation Therapy Operational Network
(RTON) using dedicated computer systems and other specialized resources to produce optimal treatment plans.
* MRT(T) with CMRTO certification and/or a B.Sc. in Physics, or equivalent, from a recognized university.
* Minimum of two years experience in computerized treatment planning with relevant systems preferred.
* Maintain a Dosimetry Certificate (CDC) credential from the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation
Technologists (CAMRT), a Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) credential from the Medical Dosimetrist
Certification Board (MDCB) of the United States, or equivalent.
* Working knowledge of treatment planning techniques for external beam teletherapy and/or high
dose rate brachytherapy.
* Strong aptitude in three‑dimensional visualization, perception, and interpretation.
* Basic computer skills and familiarity with standard PC‑based software packages.
* Working knowledge of the principles of radiation protection and radiation safety.
* Working familiarity with human anatomy and established treatment protocols.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of staff in a multidisciplinary health care
environment.
* Performance of duties with flexible work hours as required.
* Participation on TBRHSC or RTON committees as appropriate.
* Performance of other clinical service duties as assigned by the Director of Medical Physics, or designate.
Salary Range: $33.552 to 45.772
