batyr is a ‘for purpose’ preventative mental health organisation, created and driven by young people, for young people. We run programs that help smash the stigma surrounding mental health and empower young people to reach out for support when needed. Since 2011, batyr have reached over 300,000 young people across NSW, VIC, QLD, ACT and SA.
We are an energetic, fun and dynamic team who are passionate about changing the way we speak about mental health. POSITION SUMMARY
batyr has moved from strength to strength, growing from a small Sydney based team to an organisation with national presence and reach. This role will be pivotal to our success in managing and growing our partnerships nationally across the States in which we operate (VIC, NSW, SA, QLD, ACT), but with a specific emphasis on Philanthropy, Trusts and Foundations (incl. Corporate Foundations) which currently make up approximately 25% of our organisational revenue. This is an exciting time to join the Partnerships Team as the organisation continues to strategically diversify its fundraising portfolio, there will be opportunities for the role to grow with them, correlating to an increase in scope and responsibility.
The Philanthropy, Trusts and Foundations Manager, with the support of the Head of Partnerships, will be responsible for maintaining, growing and acquiring a robust portfolio of relationships specifically within Foundations, Trusts and with Philanthropists, allowing batyr to grow and diversify organisational revenue nationally. The Philanthropy, Trusts and Foundations Manager will support the wider Partnerships Team with fundraising efforts and activities and will report directly to the Head of Partnerships based in Sydney.
All candidates will need to hold a current Working with Children Check and Police Check, or be willing to obtain these within one (1) month of starting the role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage, nurture and steward strong relationships with existing partners across Philanthropy, Trusts and Foundations ensuring relationship deliverables are met, and partners feel valued and have a positive experience.
Develop a clear growth strategy to source, secure and grow new business opportunities across Philanthropy, Trusts and Foundations.
Manage and write grant submissions and proposals.
Work with the Head of Partnerships to develop and manage the strategy for the philanthropist journey experience, including engagement, communications, entertainment, milestone celebration, reactivation and growth.
Successfully maintain CRM (Salesforce) ensuring all communications and income is accurately and promptly recorded, new and existing partnerships are updated and donor care is executed to plan.
Build and maintain networks to grow batyr’s profile, reputation, and brand externally.
Represent batyr at external speaking engagements with partners, and at sector events.
Conduct regular reviews and analysis of your portfolio, providing valuable reporting to inform future revenue potential.
Ad hoc projects in support of Partnerships team from time to time to ensure all fundraising targets are met
Maintain regular contact with Programs, Data and Insights and Research and Impact teams to ensure you are kept up to date on batyr activities, outputs and impact; and sector developments.
