Job Description:

• Untangle and tangle hair as needed.
• Bathing, conditioning and drying pets.
• Cut animal claws, brush teeth and clean ears.
• Groom and groom pets according to pet owner’s instructions or standard grooming style.
• Respond to special requests from pet owners. Identify health problems in pets, such as ear infections, skin conditions or cavities, and notify pet owners of these findings. Ensure all animals are safe during grooming.
• Clean the work area regularly.
• Recommend suitable products for pet owners.
• Driving or transporting animals into the treatment room and holding them during treatment
• Cleaning and disinfecting veterinary surgical instruments

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Certification by the National Kennel Club of the United States is beneficial.
• Proven professional grooming experience.
• Good understanding of animal behavior.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• The ability to treat all animals with compassion.
• Ability to lift pets and heavy equipment.
• Excellent communication skills.
