About the role
Our client is seeking an experienced Support Worker to assist spinal injury clients in their private residence. Assisting with personal care tasks.

The shifts are 2 hour blocks starting from 6.am. Looking for female support workers.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Transfers in and out of bed, wheelchair, commode chair, car
• Personal hygiene 
• Oral hygiene
• Shaving and hair care
• Dressing
• Feeding and meal preparation
• Medication use as instructed by client/health professional
• Exercise/stretch routines as per Therapist prescription

To be successful in the role you will have:

• Current First Aid Certificate
• Personal mobile telephone with data capabilities
• Access to reliable transport for the purpose of attending community based services; (walking distance, public transport, own vehicle with valid NSW driver’s license)
• Flexibility and availability to cover a range of shifts times (early mornings, evenings, nights and weekends); and
• Proven capability to build and sustain positive working relationships, and the ability to work in a team environment or independently as required
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadline
