About the role

You will be a proactive supportive professional, whose main focus is to support the Head of the General Inspectorate. As part of the WorkSafe Administration Professional Network, you will provide leadership, oversight and mentoring functions for systems, processes, professional development and mentoring to senior support officers where relevant. You will quickly become part of a fun team whose manager supports your professional wellbeing and development.

Your role duties include:

  • Providing support to the Head of the General Inspectorate enabling them to meet priorities and accountabilities
  • Developing and delivering sound administrative systems and processes
  • Organising external and internal engagement and appointments using your discretion
  • Maintaining effective internal and external relationships

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • Proven experience in providing administrative support to management and teams
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload
  • Intermediate – Advanced experience in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Pro-active and uses initiative
  • Experience working in the Public Sector
  • A tertiary level qualification is desirable, or equivalent work experience.
