About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Personal Assistant to provide high-level administration support in all aspects of the the Directors role. This includes managing administrative and operational tasks, facilitating a variety of workflows, and supporting key relationships to strategically and efficiently utilise the Director's time. The Director reports to the Chief Executive Officer and will require an exceptional degree of political acumen and professionalism.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Manage the Director's inbox and diary, and keep the Director informed
  • Prepare documents, presentations, reports, and newsletters to a high standard
  • Develop and maintain workflow management systems
  • Coordinate and organise functions, events, conferences, and off-site meetings
  • Support the Director with HR-related matters, including recruitment processes and onboarding
  • Investigate and lead the LGOIMA response, ensuring risk is identified and mitigated
  • Operate with a deep understanding of the Director's deliverables, priorities, key areas of work, and how they align with works across the organisation

To be considered for this role you must have:

  • A clean and current driver's licence
  • A higher education qualification in office administration or equivalent relevant qualification
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and remain calm under pressure
  • A minimum of 4 years' personal assistant experience with proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • A current and valid NZ vaccination passport
  • Political acumen and nous
