Consumer Lending is the centre of excellence for our lending propositions - mortgages, cards, loans and car finance and leasing. You’ll join us in Transport, the leading supplier of motor finance and leasing in the UK. As a Manager within Transport Business Development, you’ll be critical to the further growth of the business. 

What you'll be doing

At the forefront of your remit will be building and developing new partnerships, designed to deliver long term, sustainable and profitable growth, whilst delivering excellent customer outcomes. 

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Build and develop relationships with all UK motor manufacturer brands and key stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for partnership development across the Transport business.
  • Support the partnership acquisition strategy for Transport
  • Support the negotiation, pricing, and successful implementation/onboarding of new partnerships
  • Maintain market awareness and monitor market developments.
  • Liaise effectively with all internal functions within Transport and LBG and external stakeholders at a senior level. 

You’ll also balance financial, conduct and credit risk considerations, and work within the internal controls framework.  This will include ensuring that self-monitoring processes are in place, which assess the effectiveness of key controls and that the outcome of these processes are reported and escalated, as appropriate.  

How you’ll work:

Based anywhere in the country, with our key hubs in the Cardiff and Stockport offices, you’ll follow our team’s hybrid working model. You'll combine working from home, working at the office and undertaking travel to build and develop your business relationships. We're happy to consider agile and flexible working options. Travel to alternative locations is likely to be required on a regular basis as part of the day to day job. 

What do we need from you?

Essential skills and experience:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience of the Motor Industry, motor manufacturers and the Transport business would be beneficial.
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing and interpersonal skills.
  • Senior internal and external stakeholder relationship management capability.
  • A proven, and sustained, track record of sales delivery and profit performance.
  • Strong relationship management and networking skills.
  • Good analytical skills matched with attention to detail
