Law enforcement, conflict management or similar experience is useful but not essential as full training will be provided. Full uniform is also provided for this role. You will be required to undergo a full five-year checkable employment history and a DBS check.
What will you be doing?
- The role involves limiting the incidences of littering, dog fouling, anti-social behaviour and fly-tipping.
- You will be spending your days outside, in all weather conditions, carrying out foot patrols in hot spot areas.
- Communicating with members of the public.
- When appropriate, issuing fixed penalty notices and reporting matters that could lead to prosecution.
- Validate and verify personal details of offenders.
About you:
- Have good communication skills to liaise with members of the public and be able to work as part of a team
- Be happy working outdoors, on foot in all seasons carrying out foot patrols for prolonged periods of time
- Professional in approach with a balanced sense of judgement as well as being resilient
- Can use your own initiative when carrying out your role and remain calm in all situations
