Job Description

As a Project Adviser, you will support the People & Capability Directorate to deliver priority initiatives, develop collaborative work relationships and contribute to a developing and high performing team.

Key responsibilities will be to:

  • Support project needs as required, using provided tools, templates, and frameworks  to help add discipline to project delivery and identify interdependencies across projects
  • Maintain oversight of projects and support reporting on status, options, risks, planning, and implementation
  • Assist project leaders in problem solving by conducting analysis of information and developing recommendations to improve plans and strategies

Mōu - About you 

As a Project Adviser you will have excellent communicative skills to develop stakeholder relationships. Your understanding of problem solving in either a project or HR/People context will contribute to providing excellent support to the directorate.

You are flexible and able to work independently to deliver pieces of work within deadlines. You show initiative, have a positive attitude, a desire to learn, great communication and documentation skills.

You will need the following skills and experience to be successful:

Essential:

  • Experience in building strong working relationships
  • Experience in analysing problems, and providing advice and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Ability to adapt and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Excel
  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience in relevant field

Desired:

  • Experience working in a project, programme or portfolio environment
  • An understanding of Human Resources functions and processes
