Beyond Holdings is looking for a Senior Finance and Payroll Adviser to join a team of engaging and hard-working finance professionals.
Beyond Holdings is the 100% Kiwi-owned parent company of Beyond Recruitment and Starfish Consulting providing nation-wide, industry-leading recruitment and consulting services for the benefit of New Zealand.

As the Senior Finance and Payroll Advisor, you will partner and actively engage with key stakeholders including all Beyond Service and Starfish Consulting teams. You will take responsibility for timely completion of staff and temp payrolls, reconciliations, PAYE tax compliance, and other related reporting. This role will also involve working with other members of the finance team in client billing, contractor, and supplier payments, as well as Payroll and HR Administration, and dealing with enquiries

Duties Include:

  • Staff Payroll for monthly salaried staff
  • Staff leave management including queries and following up on unprocessed or unapproved leave
  • HR Administration, setting up new employee files, assisting with onboarding, reporting, and updating data
  • Maintenance of the Staff payroll system
  • Back-up for processing of Temp Payrolls, including oversight of weekly payrolls 
  • Reporting from Payroll systems
  • Assist with billing, contractor and supplier payments, cash flow reporting, and bank account administration

The Ideal Person Will Have:

  • 6+ years’ experience in all areas of payroll and financial accounting, with strong experience and knowledge in Payroll/HR and managing workflows in a team environment
  • High level of initiative and attention to detail/accuracy in all areas and ability to review reports with context and initiative
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Finance & Payroll systems, with the ability to administer and report
  • Excellent knowledge of NZ Payroll and HR legislation, with the ability to apply this to BAU situations
  • A track record of thriving in a high paced friendly team environment
