Join Mettle as a Payments Operations Manager

What you'll do

You will support  Mettle and our customers by managing our Digital Payments Operations team.  

You will be leading a team of Payment Operations Analysts who are supporting FPS, BACS and Cards customer journeys and ensuring that Mettle delivers a great customer experience while complying to Payments Scheme requirements.  

You’ll also be:

  • The Mettle Payments team manages all aspects of Payments function, from settlement, reconciliation to customer disputes and chargebacks. As the leader you will need to ensure the team is appropriately trained and operating efficiently to manage the workload and operational risks
  • Helping to define performance indicators, measurements and the reporting of critical MI to enable the right decision making
  • Maintaining an effective training and accreditation plan
  • Achieving financial targets and efficiency gains through process improvement initiatives

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with good people management skills, with the ability to successfully engage and motivate teams to success. Alongside this, you’ll have an understanding of people processes and policies.

You’ll also have previous experience of Payments Operations, in a leadership role, with knowledge of best in class practices and processes.

You’ll also need:

  • Experience of leading Payment Operations supporting products likes FPS, Cards and BACS and managing underlying operational risks
  • Experience of managing relationships with Payment Schemes  & 3rd party suppliers
  • An understanding of our products, processes and relevant banking systems
  • A background of working with risk and compliance
