Where you'll be working

Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing

To provide housekeeping and patient service support in the Birth Unit at Westmead Hospital to clean and maintain equipment, assist in maintaining and rotating stock and assist with transporting and general housekeeping under the instruction and supervision of the Midwifery Manager and clinical midwifery staff.

Selection Criteria: * Demonstrated effective customer service and interpersonal communication skills

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Experience in or willingness to undertake training in maintenance of specialized equipment and appliances
  • Ability to liaise with and be part of the multi-disciplinary team
  • Demonstrated understanding in issues related to Work Health and Safety and Infection Control
