The student under the supervision of the Clinical Care Manager, Clinical Nurse Leaders, or Registered Nurses/Licensed Practical Nurses will be responsible for:

Work tasks and responsibilities:

Initiating and participating in nursing care planning; promoting harmonious relationships with coworkers, patients, families and hospital staff; performing nursing interventions as outlined in the job description; using the nursing process and physician`s orders in conformance within procedures.

Post-Secondary education:

Individuals enrolled in post-secondary education towards a Registered Nurse designation are encouraged to apply for this position. Preference will be given to students who have completed the course work for 2nd year.

To be eligible to participate in the SCP initiative, individuals must:

• Be between 16 and 25 years of age at the start of the employment;
• Have been registered as full-time students in the previous academic year and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year;
• Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act ; and,
• Be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations.
