We have a brand new vacancy for a Patient Advisor at a local GP surgery in Harrogate, it's a wonderful surgery with an excellent reputation in the area and based in 10% of the least deprived areas in England.

The role will be a mixture of duties to keep the role interesting and engaging throughout the day you'll be working to book patients in for appointments, complete new patient registrations, liaise with healthcare professionals, general administration and dealing with prescriptions. The Practice use System One and would ideally want to hire someone who has had experience using this within a General Practice setting, and therefore you will have an active smartcard. If you are IT savvy, have used similar systems and have worked within a healthcare setting they may be able to consider you. Without the direct experience in a GP practice you will need to demonstrate work in a similar area, an ability to pick things up quickly and a strong understanding of processes and systems..

You'll be working alongside 8 other advisors, and team of 45 clinical clinicians, with the management team as well. The team are sociable and get on well together, they're very supportive. They are looking for new staff as a few of the team have reduced their hours and as such they are needing new staff to help cover those hours.

The hours on offer are up to full time, however they are able to consider part time applicants. They are ideally looking for candidates that can open up on a morning or close up on a evening, they are open 8am-6:30pn so it'd be beneficial for an application if you could work either an early morning start or later finish (you don't need to do both).

Salary is between £10-£10.45 per hour, they offer NHS pension contributions and 5 weeks of annual leave with bank holidays off. They have free on-street parking next to the surgery.
