Patient Access Associate

The Patient Access Associate will be working closely with the Patient Support Specialist/ Manager. The main role is to assist the specialist/ manager in daily operation of the Patient Support Program (PSP)s / patient access initiatives. This includes undertaking activities related to the implementation and ongoing oversight of PSPs, and to ensure the activities are functioning within the Standard Operating Procedures.

What you will do:

Oversight and Governance - Assists in creating and maintaining process flow and checklists to ensure all program documentation and operations comply with Bayer’s governance and SOPs under the direction of the PSP specialist/ Manager/ Director. The program checklist should always up to date and readily available (audit ready). These include but are not limited to

Process / procedures (SOP and guidelines)

Maintaining trackers (PO/contract, Content Factory etc.)

Ensuring consistent application of language / updates (materials, consent, contract etc)

Execution and maintenance of checklists: materials, communication channel, launch/ termination checklists

PSP’s – Under the guidance of the PSP specialist/ Manager, this position will provide tactical support on development, alignment, improvement, and execution/launch/re-launch of PSP’s. Supports management of vendor relations with patient support program providers, including ensuring that all compliance and contractual obligations are met through vendor relation management, and reconciliation of monthly invoices and budgets.

Reports/ Insights – With the direction of the PSP specialist/ Manager, provides organizational support for the Patient Support team to ensure consistency within brand reporting and validation of data. Receives and reviews reports for all programs for the generation of quarterly dashboards will be required.

Brand team involvement – Assists Patient Support Specialist/ Manager in their work with cross-functional brand teams such as meeting preparation, and act as a backup.

Strategic Planning – Support the direction of the Director, Associate assists in developing review plan to ensure all PSPs remain compliant with the existing SOPs and guidelines. This may also include assisting in the development of external vendor audit planning and / or various internal system audits.

Who you are:

University Level Education – Minimum – BA or BSc.

Strong business acumen.

1-3 years of Experience within the pharmaceutical industry –sales/marketing, PSP and governance an asset but not required.

Ability to foster innovation.

Ability to understand and apply the oversight and governance requirements in operating patient support programs.

Understanding of pharmaceutical industry and Canadian Healthcare environment.

Project management experience an asset.

Dynamic team player – ability to work cross functionally and with diverse perspectives.

Strong interpersonal skills – works well both in a team setting and independently.

Good communication skills – ability to present to wide audience.

This position requires full vaccination against COVID-19.
