Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience working with commercial contracts
  • Experience working with external partners such as suppliers or clients

Preferred qualifications:

  • JD, LLB or experience in a legal support function
  • Ability to interpret legal documents, negotiate contracts, and work with attorneys to complete agreements
  • Excellent analytical skills, especially as it relates to contract interpretation
  • Demonstrated communication and organizational skills, and the ability to manage several simultaneous projects under deadline pressure.

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. The Service Delivery team's vision is to be industry leaders in the scaled delivery of online abuse fighting. Our team directly manages our vendor partners who perform these activities globally and across all product areas supported by Google Trust and Safety.

You are a Partner Liaison who will serve as the account-level face of Google Trust & Safety with our vendor partners, working closely with various Google teammates and stakeholders to align on the commercial terms to be reflected in our contracts. You'll negotiate and assist with reviewing and drafting statements of work, change orders, and other legal documents.

You'll participate in assessments of historical vendor partner performance against commitments and contracted obligations such as service levels with a view to shape the future strategy. You will maintain catalogs of extant contracts and lead daily updates through Google's contracting processes. .

A diverse team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.

Responsibilities

  • Support relationship  management of Google Trust & Safety's vendor partners at an account level and Liaise with internal stakeholders in Trust & Safety, GPO, Legal, and Finance to align Google's current and future requirements
  • Assist in the coordination and attend Quarterly Business Reviews with vendor partners and T&S colleagues to understand recent performance against commitments and obligations
  • Manage contracts in place with vendor partners, reviewing, drafting, negotiating  renewals, change orders, extensions, new engagements
  • Maintain currency of contract catalogs and ensure important dates such as contract expiries are noted and acted upon and assist with workforce management, ad hoc requests
  • Engage with stakeholders on future renewals, pricing and other initiatives such as pilots and launches and Liaise with T&S stakeholders on launches and deprecations, location strategy, vendor apportionment
