As the ISV Partner Development Manager, you will have the opportunity to drive one of the fastest growing businesses at Microsoft that is at the leading edge of the shift to cloud services and digital transformation, and shapes the world’s largest partner ecosystem in Technology.  This senior leader represents Microsoft to the ISV Partner ecosystem, communicates our strategy, sells our vision and brings partners along in helping our customers digital transform.   

 

The ISV Partner Development Manager is a key and influential role within the Worldwide Commercial Business and across Microsoft. The charter of the ISV Partner Development Manager is to develop and drive the partner engagement, solution development and business growth strategy for the industry. The role needs to provide leadership to build the right partner capabilities aligned with the strategic needs of the industry. The ISV Partner Development Manager is responsible for accelerating our partners’ transformation to the Microsoft Cloud, and drive strong partner preference on Microsoft’s platform versus our competition. This senior leader is accountable for ISV Partner Revenue, Co-Sell, Customer Acquisition, Consumption and Usage contribution to Microsoft globally and the overall ISV Partners satisfaction and success. 

Responsibilities

Partner Strategy: Lead the ISV partner engagement, business growth strategy and overall partner performance for the partner’s leadership. Be the voice of Microsoft to the ISV Partner Ecosystem and in the Market/Industry. 

 

Team Leadership: Recruit, retain and manage a world-class high performing team that will transform and grow the partner’s businesses in the Microsoft cloud and guide partners to build Microsoft solutions and services aligned with market opportunities. Oversee and be responsible for team commitments and strive for success. Be a team leader who sets aspirational goals and drives team toward success while ensuring effective teaming and coordination between roles and across teams to win business and remove blockers. 

 

Business Leadership: Make business and investment decisions and drive orchestration (including sales, technical, go-to-market, and channel management) to grow Microsoft business and impact of the partner. Influence leadership to align strategy and resources to help the team achieve targets as measured by revenue, consumption/usage, solution-build, skilling and partner satisfaction. 

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

10+ years partner management, sales, business development, or partner channel development in the technology industry

OR Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Operations or related field AND 8+ years partner management, sales, business development, or partner channel development in the technology industry.

 

 

Experience in alliance management, enterprise sales, channels, and marketing is required. Effective team management, business management, and communication skills are critical. The ability to write and present complex ideas and concepts to a wide range and size of audiences, from CVP to CEO level, is a must.

 

A minimum of 10 years of experience in partner business development or sales 

Proven success delivering joint solutions on the Microsoft platform with global ISVs or customers 

Working knowledge of software and solution development practices 

Working knowledge of enterprise software management practices, including selection, deployment, and management processes 

Familiarity with Manufacturing and Industrial solution ecosystem and ability to clearly understand and articulate industry solutions and business value 

Demonstrated experience and success engaging with senior executives (CVP level and above) 

Ability to work in an abstract, cross-organizational boundary and cross-discipline manner 

Ability to lead across a multi-disciplinary virtual team 

Excellent understanding of the Microsoft cloud platform, including Microsoft Azure, Business Applications, and Microsoft 365 

Knowledge of competing cloud platforms  

Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers and emerging trends as well as the impact of these on Software and Services partners and their customers. 

Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, verbal and written communication, analytical and presentation skills 

Exceptional decision-making, conflict resolution, problem solving and negotiation skills 

BS/BA degree required 

MBA or equivalent experience would be an asset
