Job summary
This Vendor Manager role owns the Pan-European P&L for the Health and Safety category, which is one of BISS' largest businesses. The candidate will play a critical role in helping BISS grow its largest category across all European marketplaces. The position will be based in Amazon’s office in London. Key job responsibilities
The Vendor Manager (VM) is responsible for managing the full scope of their category and vendor portfolio, driving the topline performance and profitability for their business. Key responsibilities include:

1. Own the Pan-European P&L for the Health and Safety category, which is the largest category in BISS. This category contains critical COVID-related products such as masks and other protective equipment

2. Design and own the sourcing strategy or one or more of the key segments of the BISS-category

3. Manage all vendor relations and drive high-level negotiations of agreements/deals with leading brands. You will also be in charge of managing the largest vendor across BISS Europe

4. Support the execution of technical integration with suppliers and support projects to more efficiently source stock and assimilate vendor catalogues

5. Agree with vendors on promotions and marketing initiatives and coordinate with the Marketing team to execute these activities

6. Be an ambassador of Amazon for the BISS category, developing deep knowledge of supply/ demand trends and success drivers

7. Participate in day-to-day operational aspects of the category, including gathering and addressing customer feedback, price management, business improvement initiatives



About the team
BISS is the one of the newest businesses to have launched in Europe, in 2015. BISS is still in start-up/growth mode, and it is definitely still Day-1 for us!

BISS is unique and a new endeavor at Amazon in targeting predominantly B2B selection and customers, which is one of Amazon’s largest new target segments. We are currently a fast moving team with high level of ownership and real bias for action.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Graduate degree
· Work experience ideally in an online, retail, e-commerce or consulting environment
· Strong business judgement with a track record of successful negotiations
· Excellent communication skills and ability to establish and manage relationships with senior counterparts
· Proven analytical thinking, project management skills, attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills are essential
· Tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment is essential for success.
· Experience in tools such as Excel and PPT

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· European language (German/French/Italian/Spanish)
