The Pacific Health Workforce Action Plan (the Plan) is a key action in the Health Workforce work programme for 2021-22 and will be aligned to the Health Workforce strategic framework and programme of work.

The Plan will aim to take a multi-pronged cultural, clinical and community-focused approach to build a workforce that can deliver more responsive, accessible and high-quality services for Pacific families and communities, and contribute to the achievement of Ola Manuia.
The Plan will provide coordinated actions to grow the Pacific health and disability workforce with the aim of getting the workforce to a level where it can achieve equitable health outcomes for Pacific peoples.
Purpose of the Pacific Health Workforce Expert Advisory Group
The purpose of the Pacific Health Workforce Expert Advisory Group (the Group) is to provide expert technical advice to the Health Workforce Directorate, Ministry of Health, to help develop the Plan.
Members of the Group will bring strong cultural intelligence, clinical expertise, community knowledge and skills, lived experience, and research and evaluation.
