The Role

Lumino OrthodontiX practices in Christchurch, Canterbury have a Orthodontic Auxiliary / Dental Assistant opportunity.

OrthodontiX are specialist practices in the region that provide sought after orthodontic care & treatments.

You will be working alongside the experienced and respected Dr Ronald Sluiter. Originally from the Netherlands, Dr Sluiter has been practicing dentistry since 1982 and has been providing exceptional orthodontic treatments in New Zealand since 2009.

You will be ensuring that Dr Sluiter is supported through his patient appointments and that the patient experience is second to none. You will also be responsible for sterilisation and infection control.

This role will initially be working at Merivale and Cashmere.

Hours for the role:

• Monday: 7:45 am - 5:15 pm
• Tuesday: 7:45 am - 5:15 pm
• Wednesday: 7:45 am - 5:15 pm
• Thursday: 7:45 am - 5:15 pm

• Merivale is 3 km from the Christchurch CBD.
• Cashmere is 6 km from the Christchurch CBD.

The Person

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• An equivalent Orthodontic Auxiliary Qualification, and full NZ Dental Council Registration to practice.
• Or a Dental Assistant Certificate.
• Either demonstrated experience in a similar role, OR demonstrated aptitude to quickly and efficiently learn.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, combined with good teamwork and comfort with sharing ideas and information.
• Willingness to learn and develop.
