Wehave an exciting opportunity for an outstanding and highly motivated Optometrist to join the growing Ophthalmology Department at Auckland DHB.
The Ophthalmology Service offers more than 110,000 patient appointments each year, primarily from Greenlane Clinical Centre. The multi-disciplinary team provides an innovative environment and the opportunity to work in the provision of tertiary level eye care.
In this position you will be part of a dedicated optometric team, providing optometric and technical assessment tailored to patients'individual needs including advanced refraction, retinal scanning, and biometry. This role may include specialty contact lens and low vision clinics. The welcoming team will provide you with a full orientation and training opportunities are provided.
This is a permanent part-time position working 24 hours per week. This is a multi-sited role across the Auckland region with rostered shifts covering Monday to Sundays inclusive.
To apply for this role you need to hold a New Zealand Bachelor of Optometry degree or equivalent overseas Optometry qualification and an annual practising certificate. You will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary allied health team.
