Job Description
Key responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:
- Oversee the Operations and Customer Service activities Import, export, airfreight and seafreight.
- Following directly the Operations and Customer Service activities for Key clients. Maintaining information standards, revenues and pricing within Cargowise EDI System.
- Liaise and coordinate with Customers in order to provide and ensure the highest level of service, planning and implementing services to follow up customer satisfaction
- Coordinate the daily customer service and operations team in the Branch
- Lead process implementation and/or continuous improvement process
- Coordinate all urgent shipments and ensure that customer requests and complaints are responded to in a timely manner by the respective staff, to ensure customer’s needs and issues are resolved promptly to their satisfaction
- Recruit and conduct training to new team members and ensuring staff are carrying out their duties in accordance to Company Policies and customer’s requirements / procedures
- Prepare branch monthly report and other required reports.
- Developing and reviewing policies, programs and procedures concerning customer relations and goods/services provided
- Generating & calculating freight quotations / tender documents, including review of rates and suppliers;
- Demonstrate the highest possible level of service within the business unit, by personal example;
- Comply with all quality, safety and environmental policies and procedures;
KEY ATTRIBUTES
- Extended and demonstrated experience in the Freight Forwarding industry
- Able to communicate and interact effectively with people from multi-functional and diverse backgrounds
- Strong customer service orientation
- Well-developed negotiation with persuasive skills
- Able to solve critical issues in a fast-paced environment with time sensitive deadlines
- Excellent written communication skills, ability to present internally and externally with customer focus
- Chinese speaking preferred but not essential
- Strong knowledge about Cargowise Software
- An ability to actively roll out sales initiatives to existing customers
- Excellent product and industry knowledge coupled with the ability to deal with clients at all levels and translate client needs into a complete solution
- Understanding of advanced job billing techniques, particularly costing processes
- Good ability to build relationships both internally and externally
- A committed team player, who is self-motivated, loyal, flexible & hands-on
- Ability to work under pressure and meet internal and external client deadlines.
- A strong desire to help the company to set up and grow in New Zealand market
