Referral Service specific RVN (Oncology)

Reporting to: Senior Referral Service RVN

Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week including unsociable hours contributing to the weekend rota, part time applications will also be considered.

Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists is a large multidisciplinary referral hospital providing veterinary referral services across the South of England including London and the Thames Valley. Our services include Orthopaedic surgery, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Internal Medicine, ECC, Soft Tissue Surgery, Cardiology, and Diagnostic Imaging. The hospital is an ISFM gold feline clinic and was awarded the BVHA design award for an outstanding working environment. We are part of CVS (UK) Ltd, the largest provider of integrated veterinary services in the UK; the referrals division currently operates nine referral hospitals in the UK and Ireland.

We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic RVN to join our Referral Services nursing team to fill service specific role in Oncology. The Referral service RVN team spend the majority of their time working with their specific service but also contribute to other services should the caseload require. This is a role working alongside our front line service clinicians in oncology and internal medicine with contribution to work with the neurology, ECC, cardiology, orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery and ophthalmology teams if required. The role incorporates assistance with inpatient care, emergency and critical-care nursing and anaesthesia provision.

You will be working in a dedicated team of RVNs and PCAs and specialist-led referral team. The team includes several diplomates in; Oncology, neurology, internal medicine, ECC, ophthalmology surgery and anaesthesia. We support further professional development with a number of our nursing team having post graduate qualifications. You will receive competitive remuneration and a generous benefits package.
